In 2023, the Republic of Serbia exported $30.8 billion worth of export
products to all parts of the world. Compared to $28.6 billion in 2022, the total
value of Serbia's exports increased by 7.7%.

The latest specific Tendata data shows that 64.9% of Serbian exports were purchased by importers from the following countries: Germany (15.2% of the global total), Bosnia and Herzegovina (6.9%), Italy (6.2%), Hungary (5.5%), Romania (5%), Montenegro (4.3%), Serbia (3.9%), Czech Republic (3.81%), Mainland China (3.77%), Croatia (3.6%), Bulgaria (3.4%) and Northern Macedonia (3.3%).
From a continental perspective, 86% of Serbia's exports went to the rest of Europe, while 9.5% went to Asian importers. Serbia exported another 2.3% to North America.
Africa (1.6%), Latin America (0.4%) (excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean) to a lesser extent, and then Oceania (0.2%), led by Australia.

According to the latest Tendata data, the top 10 export products of Serbia in 2023 are:
1. electrical machinery and equipment: $5.1 billion (16.6%)
2. machinery including computers: $2.7 billion (8.6%)
3. mineral fuels including oil: $1.9 billion (6.1%)
4. ores, slag, ash: $1.44 billion (4.7%)
5. plastics, plastic products: $1.31 billion (4.2%)
6. Rubber, rubber products: $1.29 billion (4.2%)
7. Vehicles: $1.2 billion (3.9%)
8. Furniture, bedding, lighting, signs, prefabricated buildings: $1 billion (3.3%)
9. Copper: $839.2 million (2.7%)
10. Iron and steel products: $818.5 million (2.7%)
Serbia's top 10 export products account for more than half (57%) of Serbia's total exports.
Mineral fuels, including oil, are the fastest growing of the top 10 export categories, increasing by 74.4% from 2022 to 2023. The second highest improvement in export sales was copper, which grew by 68.8%. Vehicle shipments from Serbia ranked third in terms of increase, growing by 32.2%.
The biggest drop in Serbia's top 10 export categories was ores, slag and ash, down -24.8% year-on-year.
At the more detailed four-digit Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) code level, Serbia's most valuable export was insulated wire and cable (7%). In second place were Serbia's exports of electrical energy (4.44%), followed by copper ores and concentrates (4.38%), electric motors and generators (3.1%), new rubber tires (2.9%), automotive parts and components (2.5%), frozen fruits and nuts (1.68%), refined copper plus unwrought rolled alloys (1.59%), chairs excluding barber's and dentist's chairs (1.59%) and then processed petroleum (1.47%).
