The latest Tendata iTrader data shows that French imports are mainly supplied by exporters from Germany (35.6% of total French imports), mainland China (7.5%), Belgium (5.2%), the US (5.1%), Spain (4%), Italy (2.8%), the Netherlands (2.7%), the UK (2.2%), Switzerland ( 2.2%), Russia (1.8%), Poland (1.7%) and Turkey (1.3%).

2. machinery including computers: $84.7 billion (10.5%)
3. Vehicles: $73.2 billion (9%)
4. Electrical machinery and equipment: $66.3 billion (8.2%)

6. plastics, plastic products: $30.4 billion (3.7%)
7. Optical, technical, medical equipment: $22.5 billion (2.8%)

France's top 10 imports accounted for more than three-fifths (63.8%) of its total product purchases from other countries.
The top product categories saw the fastest growth in fossil fuels, including petroleum (up 115.3%), organic chemicals (up 13.7%), followed by iron and steel products (up 13.4%), and plastics and plastic products (up 3.4%).
French imports of pharmaceutical products fell the most, down -4.8% year-on-year.

France exported $605.9 billion worth of products to the world in 2022. This represents a 6.1% year-on-year increase from $570.8 billion in 2021.
In 2022, France's top 5 exports by value were airplanes (including spacecraft), hybrids, automobiles, turbojet engines, and automotive parts or accessories. France ranks first in wine exports, among the world's leading countries in aircraft parts and is a major competitor in the transportation of pharmaceuticals and other medicines.

The latest Tendata iTrader data shows that France's main exports are purchased by importers in Germany (13.9% of the global total), Italy (9.4%), the US (8.1%), Belgium (7.9%) %), Spain (7.7%), the UK (5.9%), the Netherlands (4.2%), mainland China (4.1%), Switzerland (3.6 %), Poland (2.4 %), Turkey (1.6 %) and Singapore (1.5 %).

Mineral fuels, including petroleum, were the fastest growing of the top 10 export categories, up 80.1% since 2021. The second highest improvement in export sales was in the aircraft and spacecraft products category, up 5.9%. France's steel shipments ranked third in terms of increase, up 4% year-over-year.
The largest decline among France's top ten export categories was pharmaceuticals, down -3.8%.
