Vietnam purchased imports worth US$364.1 billion from the world in 2022, up 10.1% from US$330.8 billion in 2021.
Vietnam exported $458.1 billion worth of products to the world in 2022, up 36.4% year-on-year from $335.8 billion in 2021.
83.8% of Vietnam's imports were supplied by exporters in China (33.2% of Vietnam's global total), South Korea (17%), Japan (6.8%), Taiwan (6.3%), the US (4.6%), Thailand (3.8%), Malaysia (2.5%), Australia (2.4%), Indonesia (2.3%), India ( 2.1%), Kuwait (1.43%) and Cambodia (1.42%).
74.3% of Vietnam's exports were purchased by importers from the United States (28.7% of Vietnam's total), Mainland China (16.7%), South Korea (6.5%), Japan (6%), Hong Kong (3.6%), the Netherlands (2.3%), Germany (2.2%), India (1.9%), Thailand (1.8%), the United Kingdom (1.7%), Canada (1.6%) and Cambodia (1.6%). ) and Cambodia (1.4%).
Telephone system equipment, including smartphones, was Vietnam's most valuable export, accounting for 14.6% of the country's total exports.
