In 2022, global pistachio exports reached a value of $3.1 billion.

The value of exported pistachios increased by 2.2% since 2018 when the total was $3.03 billion. However, year over year, export revenues saw a decrease of 15.1%, down from $3.65 billion in 2021 for these smoothly textured and slightly sweet nuts.

Approximately 60.2% of globally exported pistachios were in-shell, while 39.8% were shelled.
