In 2022, global imports of natural honey amounted to US$2.75 billion.
The value of these imports has seen a significant increase, rising by an average of 55.7% for all importing countries since 2018 when the total was $2.28 billion. Year over year, there was a notable acceleration in worldwide imports, growing by 21.3% compared to 2021's total of $2.7 billion.

These countries collectively accounted for 81.5% of total natural honey imports in 2022. Notably, Canada, Belgium, the United States, and France saw the fastest-growing markets for natural honey since 2021.
Conversely, mainland China, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and Germany experienced declines in their imported natural honey purchases.

America's imports of natural honey reached US$794.3 million in 2022. The top 15 suppliers to the United States included India, Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, and Mexico, among others.
2. Germany
Germany imported natural honey worth US$302.2 million in 2022. Ukraine, Argentina, and Mexico were among the top suppliers to Germany, although some countries like Spain and Italy experienced declines in their exports.
3. Japan
Japan's imports of natural honey totaled US$168.9 million in 2022. Major suppliers included China, Canada, and New Zealand, while countries like Vietnam and Australia witnessed significant growth in their exports to Japan.
4. France
France imported natural honey valued at US$140.3 million in 2022. Spain, China, and Belgium were among the top suppliers, with Vietnam and mainland China showing substantial growth in exports to France.
