The latest Portugal export data reveals that 77.2% of Portugal's exported products were purchased by importers from the following countries:
According to Portugal export data provided by Tendata, from a continental perspective, more than three-quarters (78%) of Portugal's export value went to other European countries, with other EU member states purchasing 76.4% of Portugal's total exports. Additionally, 7.9% went to importers in North America. Portugal also exported goods worth 6% to Africa. A smaller proportion of buyers were in Asia (5.6%), Latin America (2.1%), and then Oceania (0.4%), with Australia being the main destination.

Portugal export data indicates that pharmaceuticals saw the fastest growth among the top ten export categories, increasing by 55.5% from 2022 to 2023. Machinery, including computers, ranked second in terms of improved export sales, growing by 17.9%. The shipment volume of Portugal's furniture, bedding, lighting, signs, and prefab buildings category ranked third in terms of growth, increasing by 13.1%. The largest decrease among Portugal's top ten export categories was observed in paper (including materials and paper products), which decreased by -19.7%.
